What scratch & dent actually means
Everything on our floor is an open-box or scratch-and-dent appliance from a trusted name brand, inspected and tested before it is sold. Here is what you gain, and what to weigh before you buy.
From the big box to our floor
How a unit gets here
- 1
It cannot be sold as new
A customer return, an opened box, a scuff from the warehouse — once an appliance has been opened or marked, a retailer can no longer sell it as new.
- 2
It comes to us
Open-box and scratch-and-dent units from trusted name brands make up our floor, and new stock arrives regularly.
- 3
It is inspected and tested
Every appliance is inspected and tested for quality and performance. Cosmetic scratches and dents do not affect how it works.
- 4
It sells with a real warranty
Every appliance includes 1 year of free warranty protection, extendable to up to 6 years in total through On Point, or with a CPS extended plan.
Why buy scratch & dent
What you gain
The machine works the same as the one in the sealed box. What changed is the price.
- Trusted name brands, up to 50% off
- Inspected and tested for quality and performance before it reaches the floor
- 1 year of free warranty protection, with up to 6 years total available through On Point, or extended plans from CPS
- See the exact unit on the floor before you pay — and take it home the same day

What to consider
The honest trade-offs
Scratch & dent is a good deal precisely because it is not for everyone. Weigh these before you drive over.
- Scratch and dent appliances have cosmetic scratches and dents — that is why the price is lower, and it is not a defect
- Units are sold without the manufacturer warranty; our own coverage replaces it
- Customers are responsible for getting the right specifications — size, gas or electric, and so on
- The return window is narrow: 48 hours from delivery on a unit that is not working, with a 30% restocking fee

Before you buy
Delivery, returns and pickup
How does delivery work?
Delivery fees are calculated based on your delivery address and distance from our store, so please call for an accurate delivery quote. Installation fees vary depending on the appliance type and installation requirements. Available in-stock appliances can be picked up the same day.
What is the return policy?
Within 48 hours of delivery, if the product is not working, you can exchange it for another unit or return it. After 48 hours, returns are not accepted.
A 30% restocking fee applies to returns. Customers are responsible for getting the right specifications of appliance — size, gas or electric, and so on — for their purchase. If needed, we are able to pick up for an additional fee.
Physical damage or installation damage caused by customers cannot be returned.
What about self-pickup?
For pickup customers, if the product is not working, customers are responsible for returning the unit back to the store in order to get a refund or exchange. If needed, we are able to pick up for an additional fee.
